The all-day conference at Baylor University in Waco was held on
Saturday January 17, 2015.
Collegiate hosts did an excellent job of putting on workshops and
recital. Baylor Phi Xi president Allison Jayroe was chairperson.
Ashley Kimmel coordinated the workshops. There were representatives from
each of the chapters in the SC2 district plus a delegate from Texas
A&M - about 100 delegates in all.
The conference began with a welcome from
Baylor faculty advisor Dr. Jean Boyd and a choice of workshops in
the morning;

lunch at the student center
with pizza and games;
two workshops in the
afternoon; and a recital featuring members from all chapters.
Several newly-minted alumni members participated in panels and
workshops, sharing experiences and encouraging collegiates to
affiliate with an alumni chapter after graduation.

Alumni members from Dallas contributed to workshops such as:
- Discussion on Alumni activities
- Education – Experiences of a new teacher
- Building and running a professional studio
- Financial know-how for chapters
Education Panel: UNT grads Ashley Kimmel, Michelle Perez, Andrew

Jenny Smith, VP/Collegiate
